Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea
Tokyo Disneyland has its own uniqueness. If we think that this theme park is a tourist attraction for families, in Japan it is a place for young people to date. Just dating? They say that if you are just dating, your new girlfriend must be taken to Tokyo Disneyland. Are you still single or just dumped? Yes, come to Disneyland with a group of single friends. It's no wonder that Japanese people can come to this theme park many times a year.

Moreover, they have their own 'madness' for Disney characters. Only here you can casually wear a hat with Minnie Mouse ears, wear Mickey clothes, play games to get a Chip and Dale doll, queue for 1 hour just to be able to take a photo hugging Mickey Mouse.
Buy Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea Tickets
There are 3 types of Disneyland/DisneySea tickets depending on your time and needs; Day Ticket, Starlight Passport, and After-6 Passport. Day Tickets/Passport can be used from opening hours to closing hours (8am-10pm). Both parks have the same ticket prices. One day ticket can only be used to enter one park, except for the 3-Day Magic Passport where on all 3 days you can enter Disneyland and DisneySea at the same time.
1 Day Passport ¥7,400 (ages 12-17 ¥6,400 ages 4-11 ¥4,800)
2 Day Passport ¥13,200
3 Day Magic Passport ¥17,800
The second type of ticket is the Starlight Passport (¥5,400), which can only be entered after 3pm on Saturdays, Sundays and National Holidays. And the cheapest Disneyland ticket is the After 6 Passport (¥4,200), as the name suggests, it is only available from 6pm to 10pm.
Tickets can be purchased online on the official website, but you can buy them cheaper via Klook, the 1 Day Ticket or 2 Day Passport Ticket link, just print them at home and take them straight to the Disneyland Resort gate.
Prepare mentally to queue 1 hour for each ride. One day actually won't be enough to enjoy all the rides in one theme park. So, if you want to be satisfied and have lots of time, you can consider buying the 3 Day Magic Passport.
Transportation to Tokyo Disneyland
Wherever you live in Tokyo, find a way to get to Maihama station (you can use the help of the Hyperdia or Jorudan website).
If coming from Tokyo Station, take the JR Keiyo line or JR Musashino Line to Maihama station. These two lines are not covered by the Tokyo Subway Pass but you can use the JR Pass if it's active that day (I don't recommend it because this line is not too expensive).
Arriving at Maihama Station, transfer to Disneyland monorail station. This is a special train line that takes tourists to the Disney Resort Hotel and Disneyland/DisneySea. To enter the train gate you can tap using an IC Card (Pasmo/Suica), or you can buy a ticket via the machine. A train with a typical Disney livery will take us to the world of Disney.
Unlike the Hong Kong Disneyland train, those who come to Tokyo Disneyland are tiger models (beautiful mothers) or young people who want to date.
Tokyo DisneySea rides
Because I have been to Disneyland before (in Paris, Hong Kong) so my visit this time was to Tokyo DisneySea, the only DisneySea in the world. Prepare or research which rides you will go to in a day, this park is very large so there won't be enough time. When I arrived it was starting to be summer so get ready to sweat.
So the main theme at DisneySea smells like the sea, just imagine the Little Mermaid character. I'll discuss rides that are special or only found here.
Depending on the month and theme when you come to visit, the show parade at Mediterranean Harbor could be the first treat. Ordinary characters such as Mickey et al, or the Pixar group ride a boat around an artificial lake, ending with a dance on the edge of the lake. This show occurs around 2-3 times per day.
Tip: for routes with children, it's best to start from the Mermaid Lagoon area. For a thrilling ride, start from Lost River Delta. Also make sure to take a FastPass for supported rides, this will really save time queuing.
If at Disneyland there is the It's a small world attraction (if at Dufan: Istana Dolls), then at DisneySea I think it's cooler: Sinbad Storybook Voyage. The song is good, and the animatronic dolls are more lively!
I spent the longest queue at Toy Story Mania, almost 1.5 hours. From the outside you can't see what the ride is, it turns out the ride is sitting inside a moving train and shooting at targets. Fun and exciting for young and old, it's no wonder it's so busy.
If the weather is hot, it is suitable to play in the Mermaid Lagoon area. Mostly there are games for children, indoor and air-conditioned, there is Jumping Jellyfish, and in the photo below is Blowfish Balloon Race.
There is a section that the Disney Electric Train passes through, which is good for saving legs, but only takes us from the American Waterfront area to Port Discovery.
There are many more fun rides that I didn't mention here, you can see them on the DisneySea map (download here). Anyway, one day is never enough.
In the evening at Disneyland the firework show is usually closed, at DisneySea there is a Fantasmic Show. So the Disney characters go around the lake by boat, there are fireworks, as well as a water and light show. That's cool. This is the main goal of people who buy After-6 type tickets. So you need to be ready to find the best position before show time.
After the event, there is no need to rush to the train station. There is a queue but not too long. My advice is that it's better to sit down and rest your legs first, or shop for souvenirs (the Disney Tsum Tsum dolls will make you drool).
